About this winery

For over 400 years, Château Coutet has been farmed by the David Beaulieu family with deep respect for nature. Never treated with chemicals, the vineyard has long followed organic practices, officially certified in 2012. Nestled in the heart of Saint-Émilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its 41-year-old vines on average produce wines that faithfully express this exceptional terroir.

Production notes

Château Coutet is organically farmed on Saint-Émilion's clay-limestone soils. The 41-year-old vines, on average, are planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and a touch of Malbec. Careful winemaking, focused on preserving fruit purity and terroir expression, is followed by ageing that brings finesse, balance and depth.

Tasting notes

Château Coutet Grand Cru opens with aromas of black cherry, blackberry and plum, layered with sweet spice, cedar and delicate floral notes. The palate is rich yet refined, with silky tannins, vibrant freshness and a long, elegant finish marked by ripe dark fruit and subtle liquorice notes.
