About this winery
Canada’s fruit basket – one of the southernmost parts of Canada - an idyllic little peninsula with a unique microclimate due to the ocean-like Great lakes that surround it. Dolomitic Limestone abounds here - interspersed with clay - giving the wines intense perfume; a rich mouthfeel and a defining iron grip that speaks of the Escarpment where the grapes are grown – the same Escarpment from whence tumble the world-famous ‘Niagara Falls.’

Production notes
The Spencer-Morgan block sits at the steeply sloped heart of the Megalomaniac home vineyard, well above any other sites we work with in Vineland, and the furthest from the lake. Despite its elevation, this east-facing site ripens well and early.
Tasting notes
“These are the most deeply fruited cherries I can imagine tasting – a high, wild-yeast nose, that tends just a little towards sun-warmed strawberries.” – Thomas Bachelder. So rich, balanced and long, it almost seems sweet. But it is dead-dry.
