Named after the woods surrounding the Ulmo vineyards in Menfi, La Segreta is crafted exclusively from the historic Planeta family estates, certified organic and sustainably farmed. Inspired by Sicilian botanical heritage, its new label reflects a hidden world of herbs, flowers and roots. Fresh, vibrant and expressive, it captures the aromatic richness of Sicily in every glass.
Production notes
La Segreta takes its name from the woods surrounding the Ulmo vineyards in Menfi, Sicily. Produced exclusively from Planeta family vineyards cultivated with sustainable and certified organic practices, it reflects a deep-rooted heritage. Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed, with cold settling and fermentation at 15°C, followed by lees ageing to enhance aromatic expression. Maturation takes place in stainless steel to preserve purity and freshness.
Tasting notes
Pale yellow with green reflections. The nose is vibrant and varietal, revealing citrus fruits (cedar, kumquat), white peach, tropical notes, sage and freshly cut grass. The palate is fresh, smooth and lively, driven by youthful energy and crisp acidity. A pure, aromatic and refreshing Sicilian white with great drinkability.
