Product notes

Moderate Mediterranean climate North and South exposure. Grapes from our own vineyards in Cima Corgo sub-region (schist soils). Pilheiros is produced mostly from Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, some Tinta Amarela and Sousão, from two different vineyards. This combination contributes to optimize balance between colour, aroma and flavor.

Production notes

Average age of the vines over than 40 years old. Hand-picked grapes; destemming following gentle crushing, fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. The wine had partial ageing for 12 months in used barrels of French oak.

Tasting notes

Dark ruby colour, intense nose with ripe fruits. Wood taste well integrated. Concentrated, fruity, fresh and complex. Fine tannins and long finish.
