About this winery

The project of Bodegas Volver was founded in 2004 by Rafael Cañizares, enologist through studies and viticulturist through his family tradition of four generations bound to the vine and wine. The pillars of the bodega are based on the repositioning of quality Spanish wines and recovering old indigenous vineyards which, either through low production or lack of generational succession, had been lost.

Product notes

The winery is located in the best area of La Mancha; the most Eastern region of the D.O. The soil on which the vines grow is a meter deep and is sandy with clay and large pieces of chalk. The vines used for making this wine were planted in 1980.

Production notes

The grapes undergo cold maceration during 1-3 hours, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 14º - 18 º C, in order to preserve the beautiful aromas and fruit flavours that characterize this wine .

Tasting notes

Actea rosé is fresh and fruit-forward; a great summer essential! This wine is the perfect companion for appetizers, salads, grilled vegetables, seafood, fish tacos, and light casual fares.

Les Méchants Raisins
Patrick Désy, Nadia Fournier, Mathieu Turbide, June 2019 (Vintage 2019)

Karyne Duplessis Piché, May 2020 (Vintage 2019)
