About this winery

Located in the sleepy town of Munébrega, Bodegas Breca was founded by Jorge Ordóñez in 2010 with the mission of producing the finest Garnacha in Aragón. Garnacha de Aragón, the clone used to produce the wines of Bodegas Breca, is the most ancient and genetically untouched clone of Garnacha in the world. Garnacha was first cultivated in this northeastern corner of Spain, and transplanted across the Mediterranean by the medieval Kingdom of Aragón, which had territories across the...

Fresh, vivid blackberries and blueberries. Dark chocolate, too. Full-bodied, tight and chewy with fine tannins that blend in the wine nicely. Drink or hold.

This red is ripe and generous. A rich, firm texture carries plum and currant flavors, with notes of mocha, loamy earth and smoke. Well-integrated tannins give this backbone, while lively acidity imparts balance. Drink now through 2024.

Lurid ruby. Aromas of ripe black and blue fruits, potpourri and candied licorice are complemented by smoky mineral and oak spice nuances that emerge with air. Juicy, expansive black raspberry and cherry-vanilla flavors put on weight with aeration while retaining a surprisingly graceful touch. Supple tannins lend grip to a long, spice-laced finish that echoes the floral note. Raised for 18 months in 500- and 600-liter French oak casks.
