Production notes
A 1.50-hectare vineyard at the entrance to the village of Juliénas, Le Clos des Poulettes benefits from the beneficial effects of soils composed of bluestone and ancient stony alluvium. A long maceration period of around 3 weeks and ageing on fine lees in vats make this a complex, terroir-driven wine with good ageing potential.
Tasting notes
Structured, with a deep, dark color and spicy notes of candied black fruit. Ideal with fricassee of chanterelle mushrooms, strong cheeses and red-fruit macaroons.
