The 2017 Sicilia Nocera offers a faithful portrait of this little-known indigenous grape from the northern corner of Sicily. The bouquet is rather neutral in presentation with dark fruit, cassis and sweet garden herb. The wine offers mild structure and easy tannins, but there is enough fruity freshness here to pair with breaded veal chops.

J'avais fait mention en 2018 d'une dégustation menée de main de maître par l'oenologue hongroise Patricia Toth des vins de la maison de Diego Planeta. Pas de cépage nocera toutefois. C'est le temps de se rattraper! Ce cépage de grande finesse trace un portrait élégant et évocateur, d'une profonde originalité. (5+)
